James listens to views of local residents at Age Concern Centre
28th September 2009
James Morris, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, dropped into Age Concern's Green Lane Centre in Halesowen at lunch time last Thursday (24th September).
He met with with staff and volunteers at the centre to learn more about the work that Age Concern do in the local community.
James introduced himself to the local residents using the centre and spent an hour and a half talking to individuals and groups about their local issues and concerns.
James said: 'It was fascinating to talk to local residents at the Green Lane centre many of whom have lived in the area for many years. Local residents were concerned about many things including crime, the affect that recession is having on their savings and pensions and the recent MP's expenses scandal. It was great to talk to local residents about their views on a wide range of topics.'
