Shoppers at Asda in Halesowen helped to make Christmas a little easier for some of the most vulnerable people in the community by donating food and household goods for distribution by a local charity.
Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP James Morris joined volunteers from the Black Country Food Bank to ask people doing their last-minute Christmas shopping to add an extra item to their shopping list to help people in crisis. read more »

I spent a lot of last week visiting local primary schools, handing out certificates to pupils who had entered my Christmas card competition, as well as prizes to the winners.
It was great to see so many children from so many schools getting involved, and all of their entries are in display in the Cornbow Centre in Halesowen, on the side of the 99p Store by Asda.
The energy amongst the children in the run-up Christmas is almost intoxicating, as they rehearse nativity plays and make Christmas cards and decorations. read more »

James Morris, MP for Halesowen & Rowley Regis, has welcomed the Chancellor’s announcement that a new hospital for Sandwell is the prime candidate in the health sector to launch the Treasury’s new PF2 public/private finance scheme.
Mr Morris wrote to George Osborne on 19th November, asking him to support the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick, and to ask him to consider making it a pilot project for the new PF2 scheme, which replaces the old PFI programme. read more »
